How long does it take to install?

It typically takes one hour to install the wireless gateway device and get you connected to the outside world.

How do I know the gateway is working?

Lift Connect will monitor the gateway for connectivity and power through the unique gateway device.

What happens when there is a power outage?

The wireless gateway units has a 4 hour battery backup. This is more than adequate to ensure any passengers in the lift can contact the service provider.

Do I need to involve the lift company?

Most gateways are installed in the MDF room or building riser located near the elevator shaft. In the instance signal strength is an issue, we may contact the elevator company to install the wireless gateway device within the lift shaft.

Who will answer the lift emergency phone?

Lift Connect provides the connection between the lift phone and the outside world. All calls are routed to your lift service provider, as per your current arrangements.

What happens if the unit is faulty?

Lift Connect will maintain the device for the duration our agreement. Your cover includes faults, repairs and any required wireless gateway upgrades.
